Homemade Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint

Homecoming

YOSEMITE NP
Before leaving North America, we will again spend a day and a night in the mountains. We therefore go into the Yosemite National Park and are already ten clock on the campground on the valley floor to the afternoon sure to get a parking space. We park in the large parking lot under an apple tree. A Muledeer (Hirsch) approaches to within three feet and eats an apple that is on the ground. We know the National Park from a longer visit in September 2002. The mountains are relatively young, established only 3 million years ago in the depths and then lifted. The Merced River formed a deep canyon. Before 750,000 years ago, pioneered a glacier through the canyon and broadened it into a flat valley with vertically ascending rock faces. Yosemite was the first NP of the United States. Galen Clark discovered 'the area and worked towards the creation of a park. Abraham Lincoln signed Congress of the proposed contract in the middle of the Civil War (1861-65). The park consisted only of two separate areas. John Muir, who emigrated 30 years in the area and researched, sought a matter of creating a cohesive larger area. In 1890 the park was given the present extent of 3072 km2. The UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site.

meet on smaller walks, we squirrels and Muledeers can, once again, the green of the forests, the clear water of the rivers and the warmth of the sun interact with us and marvel at the massive rock blocks to spot on the flanks with binoculars exciting climbing are the require three days, climb to the vertical, over 1000 meters high granite cliffs. On the way we suddenly find ourselves in a group of eight male and female Muledeer. The antlers of some deer is still bloody, Bast hang down.

The next day we say good bye to the beauty of nature. We drive to Fresno and see with the help of the information lady of City Hall a large RV company that sells new cars and spare parts. This is ready to wash our car the next morning and offered us to spend the night in their parking lot, where we even have electricity.

RESOLUTION
Next Tomorrow we will get back at 7.45 clock in the Office of the RV company for the car wash. Two workers, one black and one Latino, wash our RV outside (fairly) clean. After all, the exterior surfaces are cleaned, which we are very happy because we could not clean without a ladder anywhere. To our surprise: After sleep, it was already free, the company also calls for washing anything.

Then came the long way where the desolation we drive west on the # 41, a first four-lane highway, which we follow south to San Luis Obispo. The trip by the plane is bleak: The sky is due to the smog and opaque, especially the dust. The grass is everywhere yellow or even burned. It has probably since the spring when we had not seen anything green, no rain. We see many wine crops and walnut orchards. Only after 60 miles when we have the I-5 crosses the street and out into the hills, the sky is clear and blue. The earth remains cremated. Sometimes the hills are covered by trees. From Shandon is the # 41 is narrow and winding and for cars over 30 ft. not recommended. Just so we take it, because it has practically no more traffic. From Atascadero, we drive on the famous # 101 through the Coast Ranges to San Luis Obispo, reached by 13 clock. Then it goes to the airport. Parking here is impossible. We put the zip down on a company site. We can confirm the return flight and get the information that we can carry the usual baggage, but no liquids. Finally
plagues us hungry and we take the winding # 227 (Canyon Road) to Arroyo Grande, where we park on the site of Wal-Mart and saturate at Sizzler us a steak and a rich salad buffet. Finally, we find on the Pismo Beach Memorial SP Fullhook with a pitch (full connection). I bake for the last time with the remaining bread flour. Then we begin the final cleaning of the RV. It takes almost two days.
At 18.30 we walk to the coast, there are However, the noise from vehicle operation not enthusiastic. A car after another drive - for a fee of course - out to the beach. Miles of the RV's must go to the beach along a dirt road and stay overnight. Most have an ATV or OHV (Geländeautöli) with you. A poster advertises on the beach regardless of nesting water birds - a travesty!
The Sun is at 19 clock in at a Dunst-/Smogschicht.

The next day is 23 September. We celebrate our 14th Wedding day - with car cleaning and packing. We have on small, only 24 seats comprehensive Campground No. 1 Court, located next to two huge Waste containers, which comes to us very good. With a bit of a guilty conscience, we put pillows, duvet covers, foam mats, pans next to the containers. We had taken with old pillows and duvet covers from Switzerland with the intention to dispose of the five and a half months. To our delight, everything is gone after a few minutes: In the campground there are many, homeless people ', marginalized, the search regularly in rubbish bins. We also make the acquaintance of an American who lives south of Los Angeles while, but with her husband to spend in a plush RV (including pickup and two scooters) their holidays. She takes lots of food, dishes and kitchen equipment, they will give to their grandchildren.
Even with the host (groundskeeper), we get talking. He is German, lived for 10 years in India and for this summer with his partner, a Slovak who has lived here for 20 years, taken over the casual job as a host. He is also appalled at the lack of environmental awareness among Americans. The smog come for the most part - over from China - within five days. The host, we can give food, dishes, motor oil, etc.. He will pass it to the needy. So we are a going concern, which has long troubled us: the sensible disposal or transfer of the equipment that we bought five and a half months, or had taken.
go on Sunday afternoon we show the hotel Royal Oak (Best Western) in San Luis Obispo, where we have a nice room and relax a difference. We have Internet access. We are grateful to the bathroom, which we - can really enjoy - after almost half a year. Also once again sleep in a big bed with proper mattress, we appreciate it.

The next morning we go straight to the airport, give our luggage (80 kg) and head to our RV dealer, where we give our car. We have cleaned it seems to clean, because the lady who checked the car relies on the return record against the field, clean 'a, very gone. And

already we board the small plane to San Francisco. We have the seats 11A and 11C, but it has only ten rows, row 11 does not exist. I wonder if we might get out on the wing of a place. The aircraft is not so high up. Finally, we take the series in 9th place (before the fire exits) where we have so much leg room that we can not even touch the feet of the front row. Such a place we should have on the long transatlantic flight! This eleven-hour flight we finally take a necessary evil for us. Via Munich, it goes to Zurich. There we will receive with Swiss flag and a welcome balloon.

HOME
about the 'culture shock' that we experienced after our return home, helped us across a few good fairies: In the home of our beds were dressed, the refrigerator was running, food was there, even the balcony was cleaned. So we felt in the close in Switzerland and our unusually large apartment not completely lost. A big thank these ladies and to all who helped us during our trip in any way! were the emails that we get almost daily to the public telephone stations, we have always been very pleased, as are the many phone calls and welcome requests for our return.
